Greeting friends and fellow Supers, from my beautiful home planet of Ellandria. Hugh Harrison here, and not only have I found my brother, I’ve found my way home. Now it’s a question of getting back in one piece and staying that way once Kat gets her mitts on me. Can I survive? Inquiring minds want to know! (And so do I!)
So, here’s the good news: Dale’s been working hard at his equations and thinks we’ll be out of here this spring.
Here’s the even better news: you can keep tabs on our progress, as well as our adventures, by joining our brand new ARC list. Details are below!
We are also *SUPER* close to having the updated version of Unlucky Charm finished.
And as usual, we have a ton of great, FREE and cheap books below to fill your eReader with. What better time to load up on eBooks? (And toilet paper, so I hear!)
Read on for more…
NOTE: If you are receiving this, at some point, you opted into our mailing list. We do not wish to spam any poor souls, so feel free to unsubscribe if you feel the need. Most of us won’t take it personally (though Kat has been known to!)
It’s not too late to join our Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) list
Here’s how it works:
- Join the Black Kat ARC list.
- We’ll send you the latest beta version of our next book.
- In exchange, send us your feedback on the characters, story lines, and anything else that strikes you. We’re not asking for editing, just opinions on the overall feel of the story.
- For those that send in feedback, we’ll also send the finished version as a thank you.
Currently, Chapters 1-8 of Black Kat IV: Playing with Fire are available. We’ll continue to add onto the ARC as additional parts are ready until the entire book is done. (i.e. The next version may be Chapters 1-16, and so on.)
Our production schedule is three books a year.
COMING SOON: UNLUCKY CHARM, UPDATED
It’s hard to believe the Unlucky Charm was published 4 years ago. We’ve learned a lot about writing and publishing since then, so we wanted to update the first few books & make them as SUPER as possible.
We’re very close to having Unlucky Charm finished. Improvements include:
- Updated cover
- Updated formatting
- Reorganized scenes for better story flow
- Cut/condensed some scenes and added new ones. (10,000 more words)
- Expansion of Kat’s storyline and scenes = more badass bounty hunting!
- More showing, less telling
- Tighter prose
- A few fun, new juicy details included, along with a new character that snuck into the series…
Stay Tuned! We will be giving this away FREE to all subscribers and sending out a special email! It will also be rolled out as an update to all stores. Print versions will be updated as well.
Stuck at home and looking for something new to read? Check these titles out:
All Faye wants is another chance at being normal: hanging out with friends, playing video games, reading the latest Manga… As a wraith, her craving for a normal existence seems forever out of reach. When she makes the move to the small town of Hueman, Texas with her not-so dead nomadic family, she prays this fresh start will be the one that sticks.
Until… one of her kind is murdered by a mysterious man in a black mask.
With only Carter, an unlucky human witness, by her side, Faye must find a way to prevent the body count from rising and protect her family’s secret identity. As the man in the black mask lurks in the shadows waiting to strike again, her choice becomes a matter of life and death.
In the face of true evil, being normal is overrated.
Yaro Anatoly commands the most feared regiment on the continent. His loyalty to the king has seen him wage war in the savage wilderness of Vorgar, the lawless free cities, and in Akasha, the domain of the southern princes.
But when the death of a saint triggers a revolution at home, Yaro finds his own loyalties divided. Can he really serve a king who hates his own people? And who are these new gods?
Jethro is an aging man. He lives alone in the dry countryside, with little but his horse for company, far from what remains of civilization—or what passes for it these days.
His internal struggle, the plight of others, and his need for water draw him out of seclusion and into a lawless dystopia, where precious natural resources are ruthlessly controlled by political thugs and morality lacks precise definition.
Jethro must navigate a world where family just means another mouth to feed, and survival depends upon the whims of those who’d trade a life for a trickle of water. His pilgrimage is crossed by holy men, heathens, and those who fall somewhere in-between. Whether by fate, or by chance, he will have his questions answered.

Jared is incapacitated at the moment, so Dale is working on updating our website, here.
Until next month, lovelies! I hope you have a fabulous and LUCKY March. Hopefully I’ll get lucky too, once I get home to Kat (if she doesn’t shoot me first!)
